Overview

Cuyuna, MN will not enforce or administer the MN State Building Codes. The MN State Building Code remains in effect but the city is not required to administer or enforce it, per Ordinance # 903.19A, dated July 5, 2018.

The State Building Code is the standard that applies statewide for the construction, reconstruction, alteration, and repair of buildings and other structures of the type governed by the code. Minnesota Statutes Anointed § 326B.121-1(b) states: "The State Building Code supersedes the building code of any municipality." Minn. Stat. Ann. § 326B.121-1(b) (State Building Code)
